Grants support projects committed to capacity building for the next-generation for environmental conservation, and to seeking solutions of environmental issues by NPOs and other non-profit private groups. This year, applications for the following two categories of grants are accepted:

·         Overseas Project Grants - support will be provided to activities implemented in overseas, conduct by group based in Japan or conducted jointly, collaboration between Japan and foreign group

·         Domestic Project Grants - support will be provided to community-based activities for the protection of environment. Project implementation sites are limited to Japan only.

Eligibility                               Investigators at any academic rank and from all academic disciplines are eligible to apply. Although, prior research on suicide is not required, applicants are expected to show evidence of prior research or research training in a related field.

Grants support studies that aim to increase understanding of the causes of suicide and factors related to suicide risk, or to test treatments and other interventions designed to prevent suicide.
