Internal coordination

Each applicant institution may submit multiple SPORE applications provided that they are scientifically distinct, proposed in a different cancer organ site and are led by different PDs/PIs. A single investigator may participate in more than one SPORE as long as there is no scientific overlap. Multiple PD(s)/PI(s) are not permitted for a SPORE grant.

The number of awards is contingent upon NIH appropriations, and the submission of a sufficient number of meritorious applications. Approximately 8-12 SPORE awards per each of the 2 years of this FOA are anticipated.… more »
